How Zen & Mind App handles your information — especially your journal.
Last Updated: July 7, 2026
Zen & Mind App (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates mobile applications including Shadow Work Journal: Sanctuary (collectively, the “Apps”) and this website. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Apps or website.
1. Information We Collect
Journal content (Apps)
Entries, reflections, and other content you create within the Apps are stored locally on your device only. We do not operate servers that receive or store your journal text. We do not use third-party analytics SDKs in the App to track your writing or behavior.
Website feedback form
If you submit feedback through our website contact form, we collect the information you provide (such as your name, email address, and message). This data is processed by Formsubmit, our form delivery service, and forwarded to us so we can respond. Formsubmit’s privacy practices are governed by their own policy at formsubmit.co.
App purchases
If you make in-app purchases or subscriptions, payment processing is handled entirely by Apple via the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment card information.
Crash and diagnostic data (optional, Apple-provided)
If you choose to share crash data with developers through Apple’s system settings, Apple may provide us with anonymized crash logs to help fix bugs. This does not include the content of your journal entries. We do not embed third-party crash or analytics SDKs in the App.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Apps and website
- To respond to your support requests and feedback
- To diagnose technical issues when you voluntarily share crash reports through Apple
- To comply with applicable legal obligations
3. Data Storage and Security
Your journal content is stored on your device using secure local storage mechanisms provided by iOS, including optional device-level encryption when enabled. Optional Face ID or Touch ID app lock (when available) adds a device-level access barrier; biometric data is handled entirely by iOS and is never transmitted to us.
Feedback submitted through our website is transmitted securely to Formsubmit and then to our email. We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect any data we process. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
4. Third-Party Services
Our website feedback form uses Formsubmit for message delivery. In-app purchases are processed by Apple. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
5. Children’s Privacy
Our Apps are not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
6. Your Rights and Choices
Because your journal data is stored locally on your device, you may delete it at any time by deleting entries within the App or uninstalling the App. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have additional rights regarding personal data we process through our website — contact us to exercise those rights.
7. Health and Wellness Disclaimer
Our Apps are designed for personal reflection and general wellness purposes. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical or mental health condition. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a qualified professional or emergency services in your area.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the “Last Updated” date and, where appropriate, through in-app notice.
9. Contact Us
